The Roth growth group finished the book "Radical" by David Platt a few months ago. This book confirmed and awakened us to the fact that what the world calls radical obedience to God, is just the simple standard of living God calls us to daily. It was the world that tagged this type of christian living ie. giving extravagantly, feeding the poor, looking after the widows and orphans, giving of your time and talents etc...radical. But throught studying scripture this is simply normal behavior while following God.
One particular chapter talked about how we spend our time and about serves. For some reason this chapter popped out to all of us. And with out talking to each other each couple felt the spirit saying GO!
Sadly Missions is left to the "few" people whom are called to go be missionaries. This makes me laught because the bible calls us ALL see for yourself "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8, we shall be his witnesses, in our home town, in some other state, and in another country! boom baby, there it is straight from the mouth of our father.
So in our endevor to catalyst this so called "Radical" christain living we are with the call of God going to Venezuela this coming January 2012.
We are also believing that God will full provide for our needs to get there, we would love for you to be apart of making this happen.

We are not going through some missions trip company (not dogging that at all) but God has called us to Venezuela for a specific reason. We will be staying with a family of Venezuelans.
